ABOUT

I originally trained and practised in design and marketing, and for a time moved towards tattooing, before realising that the fine-art side of drawing and painting people was where I felt most grounded and most myself. That shift allowed me to return to what I love, expressive, human-centred art that communicates something quiet, emotional and real.

Alongside my own practice, I also co-run Richard Gray Creations, a miniature-painting education platform, which continually fuels my sense of craft, precision and storytelling.
The two sides of my creative life inform each other: in my artwork I focus on emotion and presence, in RGC I focus on clarity, detail and technique.

I work from my studio in the UK, creating original artworks, expressive portraits, studies of the human form, and commissions for people who want something personal and meaningful in their space.
